I can recall in the mid 1970's because of the "Arab Oil Embargo" that our local elementary school system in Akron County, OH, implemented closure of half our school buildings to conserve energy, and we had half day class in our school, the other half was for the closed down school students.

The Executive Branch works for the people in our system, and the press is there to demand, not request, answers on our behalf.

This extends a HW-oriented concept which was already bad, made you do horrible things to the stack, then extended it to higher-level software.
Unwinding a C++ exception is too much work to compensate for bad error handling discipline.

I had the thought of creating a Polymarket bet that :

Iran would accept a cease-fire in exchange for us giving them Trump and Netanyahu as compensation for their leaders.

I would love to see that play out. And I'd take the deal on behalf of the USA.

Pet peeve. I'm all for accessibility, but it's not my job to AltText my photo uploads, though I often do. I usually provide a description in a linked post, because I Iike telling a story in words too.
But sometimes if you can't see the photo, I can't add anything to my reasons for posting it. Ask me if it's important to you and I'll elaborate. But also, artists don't explain their art in advance. Did Van Gogh provide AltText ? I think not.

I have this disease...
I can eat one bite of a meal and be satisfied.
I can hold eye contact with a person I've never met, for 5 seconds, and experience an entire relationship that will never exist. Holding on for more would be a disappointment.
