On March 28, people will gather in #SantaFe #NewMexico for #NoKings 3, to celebrate and fight for constitutional democracy in the United States. They will exercise their First Amendment rights to assemble and freely express their views.

A murky, deeply troublesome situation has been unfolding in Chicago overnight. It appears CBP detained an American citizen at O’Hare, took her to an ICE detention facility in Chicago. She hasn’t been heard from since and her family cannot locate her. She may or may not have been transported to a different facility in Wisconsin. It has been a hell of a week. Like everybody else who pays any attention, I’ve been ultra-distressed by the unfolding disaster in the Middle East, the continuing abductions by ICE and CBP, and various other large scale political events. I have been appalled and horrified by Trump’s utter indifference to the death and destruction he has caused, the risks he is creating for the American people, who he is supposed to be serving. Disgusted by Hegseth’s glee at his own lawless recklessness. 1/

I woke up last night in the middle of the night and caught the news of Trump-Netanyahu war on Iran. Hard to fall back asleep. Got up early to go to a community north of me to discuss how to react to ICE car stops, which are escalating in frequency in northern New Mexico. Returned home.
Now I have beginnings of a migraine, am tired, a nap would be good, but sleep still hard to come by.

Yes, I’m glad that the immediate result was the Supreme Court clearly invalidating a Trump effort to assert dictatorial power.
