I just ate a carrot and a handful of almonds, which are plant-is so I'm counting it as a vegetable. And if it's not, then I'll combine it with the other nonvegetable, mushrooms and say "close enough".

What is this cast-iron device?
It's way up high in a kitchen from the days of wood and coal. It could be cranked from below, and would cause the horizontal bar to rotate. The text on the iron box that holds the gears in place says "James Tuck" and then some illegible words.

I was just reading a web page. Halfway doen was a page element that said, they can't show you any custom advertisement until you accept the relevant cookies.
My first thought was: Good.
My second thought was: Then SHOW a random advertisement, so you at least get some revenue.
My third thought was: Is it that you can't show a random advertisement because your advertisers don't want that? If they only want their advertisement shown to site visitors they can TRACK, then 🤬 them.
My fourth thought: The EU GDPR¹ is working as intended.

It looks like street-by-street air-pollution data isn't available just to view. It's not totally clear, but it seems you have to sign up to see the pollution data, but signing up involves putting a sensor on your bike, and they don't accept just anyone; they want geographic dispersion.
Long story short: This air-pollution data is not available for Santander sharebike cyclists to view. 😦

A place so remote, Google Maps only has 2 photos of it:
• a river meandering an empty valley.
• one log hut.
And despite the "there's nothing there" feel of it all, I can see several clearcut areas on the mountain slopes. 😥 Gone for construction lumber and toilet paper, so the southern neighbours can renovate perfectly adequate houses, and ghe world can wipe their 🫏asses.

Like you, I encounter very little in the way of harassment. Sometimes I write something political, but then I remember not to poke the bear and Discard it. I steer clear of culture-war topics.
Instead, my posts tend to testify about my own life, both in frivolous and serious ways.
To stay clear of harassment, I curate who I follow. If it turns out an account I Follow amplifies political outrage, I prune my timeline by using a combination of:
• Hide Boosts.
• Mute, for a week.
• Unfollow.
It's what my mind can handle.

Now I'm thinking of my friends' house. They ask me to house-sit once a year, and they have a bread maker.
I always use it to bake bread when I'm there. I try to set the timer so the last loaf is done baking just before they get home. That way, the house smells delicious and welcoming.
