@leoncowle @MisWiredKE @uastronomer SWIFT has been my main way to send money to South Africa. Western Union works too, but it's finicky because the recipient needs to go to a Western Union location to receive it. I have also done it with bitcoin, but it's too much effort than it's worth

@TeflonTrout I don't see how any of that applies here. Clearly we're both exercising our freedom of speech, and none of us are being harmed for it. The beauty of the Fediverse is that it's decentralised. There is no one "community", but many separate instances interacting with each other. Like you yourself said, what the community stands for is subject to change by people putting forward their points of view. If you disagree with the way your instance is moderated, you can move to a new one
