Okay, Unstream 2.0 (the apps + extensions) are coming out now 🤘
Big change is that the apps are now fully *free* w/ optional donation. I've gotten some great feedback from folks here, and decided that this project is better suited for that model. Anyone can now save a list of artists to support & get release alerts.
I'm not looking for this to be a moneymaking app, but one to help inspire change in how people support music. #fairtrademusic #indiemusic

I call it Auxpack: patron subscription packs, for groups of independent artists.
Instead of (or addition to) having your own #patreon, , #bandcamp or whatever subscription offering, band together with artists in your community to form packs that fans can subscribe to. They pay once (meaning one processing fee), and the rest is divvied up amongst the artists in the group.

"fruit is year 3" by my internet friend Honeycrush was in my head for much of 2024. I wanted to give it a different treatment, honoring the tension of the original but leaning a bit more into its intensity, and Alex gave it her blessing.

I share a lot how good I think Buffer is for virtually any #creator, #artist or #smallbusiness, but I often find myself realizing that folks don't always immediately see how useful it can be (even for free). I thought it would be fun to speak to that – not just features, but how I use the features.

This is random, but I feel like more artists could benefit from asking for a simple $1 a month from people who want to support them.
I see a lot of Patreons and such asking for $5-10 a month, and often it feels like you have to sell a bit of yourself to justify that. $1/mo feels so harmless by comparison to ask for, doesn't commit you (the artist) to more than you can handle, but can add up to a nice little sum of recurring income over time.
