@cstross@wandering.shop I used to make my own podcasts before those were a thing! I had a script that recorded radio programmes by capturing the output of the sound card while playing the RealAudio™ streams at the right time. Those .wav were then turned into .mp3's, which I uploaded to my mp3 player. I could carry up to 64Mb (not Gb) of radio programmes in my pocket and listen to them at any time! Incredible stuff.
