Let's hope the AI lobby will (in any combination of purposely and inadvertently) make that law obsolete.

Apparently, it's mice and rabbits. Who knew?

The only way we can create justice is by striving against nature.

Wild. Scientist shows that animal communication is more complex than we think.
Prairie dogs apparently have specific predator alarm calls for different species and appearances, and can even supposedly make names for objects they have never seen before.
For example, they have different calls for coyotes, dogs, and humans, and can communicate what colour shirt a human is wearing and whether they are carrying a gun.

Without those "outdated or weak arguments", in what way is using LLMs immoral?
The environmental one was the strongest I could think of. How is it outdated or weak?
"Stochastic parrot" is an argument about effectiveness, not morality.
And copyright is illegitimate anyway. If AI manages to do away with it entirely, that would be a win.

That is disgusting. Even if Israel were Nazi Germany that would be unacceptable.

>campism
Thank you for that word. I've been using "collective guilt" but "campism" is much shorter and snappier.

But the library of Alexandria still exists.
And social media is toxic whether it's algorithmic or not (source: fedi).

Can you get employment as a BBS sysop?

But why do you need certifications for that?

But what do you need the certifications for? Anyone can become a sysop. You don't need anyone's permission.

Depends on what it is for the person using BSD. "The point" of doing something is never the same for everyone.

1) I use #Molly-FOSS, which does not have any Google code and supports UnifiedPush
2) Doesn't Signal use FCM?
3) If the Signal Foundation controls both the running and development of the only server and the development of the only client, then the system is no longer secure against the second party, which obviates the point of end-to-end encryption. Signal can backdoor the Signal app to access your messages, contrary to their claim that not even they can access your messages. @signalapp

Oh ok. That's good. I use Molly-FOSS myself.
Glad to see it's position (and that of other forks) is not as precarious as I feared.

You should officially support third-party clients for greater decentralisation and so that it's easier for them to support all features including Signal Secure Backups.

Your point about designing algorithms to encourage constructive debate is interesting though.
