@tsvga @mayintoronto I have a small quibble that reinforces your point. We actually do have a lot of experience building incomprehensibly powerful machines with alien intelligence that doggedly pursue inhuman goals. It’s just that they’re big companies and money, not AIs and paperclips. The consequences of building these machines are a big driver of the problem on the right.
