I saw one with curl a year or two ago that sounds like that. If you’re using a SOCKS5 proxy and it’s been replaced by a malicious server and you send a specific kind of badly-formed request the server can reply with a mangled response that causes RCE? I triage bug reports all the time that are either theoretical, contrived and unrealistic, or where the failure mode is harmless. Known bug not even worth fixing.

@arroz It’s brutal. And if they’re not an EU vendor and don’t do IOSS, you get hit with import fees. At least here in Denmark there’s a €20 “handling” fee for any package from abroad they have to charge VAT for.

I've been messing around with AppleTalk on Windows 2000 via C and C++, two languages I'm just not proficient in and not super enthused about learning. I was considering doing this in Rust, a language I am more enthusiastic about. Just to make sure I wasn't reinventing a wheel, I did a little search for doing cross-platform AppleTalk with Rust and someone published a WIP project *yesterday* that does exactly this!
