What is going on with all of these people saying CEO’s or other employees deserve to live comfortably? The average salary in the US is like $64,000 the median is more like $38,000. What kind of person could possibly do the work of 10 or almost 20 (depending on weather you prefer median or average) regular people? If people should be payed based off how much work they do this is not a reasonable amount.

You cannot get into legal trouble for snowflake afaik. Its only a bridge, not an exit node. This means that websites the other person visits will see the exit nodes public ip, not yours. Running a vpn for snowflake will only slow down the other persons connection without giving you any better security. If it helps I’ve been running snowflake on my main browser for about a year now with no issues (not saying this is definitive proof for anything though.)

We need to agree on a better way to get new users to easily chose a new Distro without having horrible choice paralysis. Asking AI doesn’t work, asking reddit or lemmy just starts a massive debate and gets the person asking nowhere. Perhaps just refer everyone to nicks latest tier list although that is really for his use case, I mean he doesn’t even have bazzite on the list when it’s a good choice for a lot of people. Maybe there is a website that asks questions and recommends a distro based on that, or maybe I saw a cool flow chart photo that seamed good, but it’s an image so it won’t update itself when people come back to it later and the recomendations change.

I do prefere airplane mode allowing wifi for obvious reasons. I have a samsung and it really does suck how far baked in the spyware is. Fun fact! Geo positioning is one off the few things where we need to apply both general and special relativity for real world effects: the effects due to the satellites speed and high distance to earth (and therefore the reduced effect of gravity) cause a significant shift in the speed in which clocks run on those satellites compare to Earth. As we use the exact time to calculate distance and with that position this would cause a huge drift otherwise! Ok that is really cool!

Is GPS private?

I can’t believe I’ve never thought about this and that no one is really talking about it. GPS is a system that everyone uses everyday on there phone and is constantly tracking your location. Many people here (including myself) use airplane mode to block mobile data signals so that mobile data companies cannot track your location and sell it to data brokers. But airplane mode doesn’t block GPS (I just tested this now on my phone, maybe your phone works differently). Is GPS somehow designed in a way so that it’s private?

Eventually the goal is to work as people want to to satisfy everyone’s needs, but between now and whenever that’s achieved, people will likely continue to get paid more for more intense or moe trained

Of cause capitalists make way more than they deserve. A lot of people are not currently happy with the idea of being payed based on there needs and feel like they put in a lot of work and therefore deserve more pay, how do we encourage these people to become socialist?

I definitely do though. Hey I’m planning a brunch here means corporations have a little more information about where you live, where you like to eat, who you have friends with, your friends weeknesses, social media can then try to inflict the group with different political opinions splitting up the friendship increasing depression and therefore the amount of time you spend on social media because it’s your only escape from your depression. Just to list an example of what could happen.
