After retiring last year and doing the training, my new part-time gig is as a park docent at Big Basin Redwoods. You might find me at the visitor center or on the trails.

@luis_in_brief @mattblaze When I visited the Taj Mahal I was charged more than 10x what the locals were, about $25 which is still a great deal for a bucket list item. But while tourists in India are far more wealthy than locals, that isn't the case in the US. And is this per person or per vehicle? If it is per person, do the rangers have to verify each person's citizenship? If you think the lines to get into Yosemite in summer are bad now ...
