We're having another wave of s(p/c)ammers reaching out to tell the unsuspecting and naive that they somehow need to contact "mastodon support" or click a link to "verify" their account or something.
Just a reminder that this is like random calls from "The Windows Department" or "your credit card security team" asking you for info. There is no "Mastodon support" or "verification", unless you are contacted from the account that matches the admin/owner of YOUR instance name.
