How do you know early when #Haikuos is preparing for a new release? It's when I start asking people to have a look at our #i18n / #translation tool and help complete translations for various languages.

For beta releases, our policy is to include only languages where the translation is at least 60% complete. This time we need help to reach this in Belarusian, Croatian, Bulgarian, and Slovenian.

Lithuanian and Slovak are above 60% but may need some help too.

@millihertz I use the MessagEase layout in Thumb-Key (because I used that one before and I'm too lazy to relearn with the newer Thumb-Keys layouts). I think it's a great choice for touchscreen text input: large buttons, and simple directional gestures (swipe in 4 or 8 directions) on them to have a lot of symbols on just 14 buttons. And some more nice things, such as moving the text cursor by drag on the spacebar, so you can see what you're doing, not having your finger on top of the text

@rk software controls a lot of things, it could be a change to ram timings configuration (maybe done while adding support for a different ram chip?)

I don't work in the airplane industry (I can't be trusted that much) but I have seen problems caused by "let's replace this chip with this pin-compatible equivalent one" and not reading datasheet fine print elsewhere, especially if the hardware and software teams don't talk enough to each other

I just made a new release of Renga, the #xmpp client for @haiku #haikuos !

https://pulkomandy.tk/projects/renga

Secure storage of account passwords, multiple accounts and anonymous account support, xep-402 bookmarks, better error handling and less crashes, tls 1.3 channel binding, better handling of hyperlinks. But also the chat view code was entirely replaced, and that will open the way for reactions, corrections, retractations and MAM in future releases
