The rain is coming, and we have nothing to protect us in the tents. The tents neither block the cold nor the rain, and the ground turns into a swamp with the first drop. No preparations, no means to prevent drowning. The children suffer the most; they shiver from the cold, their clothes never dry, and their fragile bodies cannot withstand illness. hoping this day will not mark the start of new suffering.

We heard there might be rain soon, and the tents don’t provide real protection rain brings hardship and suffering. The children especially suffer a lot; the cold and rain show no mercy, their illnesses get worse, and we feel helpless. We always hope and pray that support will be enough to help us leave this life in tents and provide us and our children with a more warmer life

Sorry for the sight, but I just want to show the reality of what we’re going through،While I was preparing soup for my child, I realized after cooking that the water had become filled with ants because the sand inside the tents brings them in. So, I had to throw the soup away, and my little one sat there crying.
What kind of life have we reached? What kind of time are we living in?

No life at all.I remember my home — how I used to move from one cozy couch to another, sipping tea or cinnamon milk, wrapped in a warm wool blanket, enjoying a traditional lamb maqluba meal.
All of this now breaks my heart.

I’m sorry that my story is long — but honestly, it hasn’t ended. And it won’t end anytime soon.

I rush to place towels to absorb it, but they only hold for a short while before the dripping begins again.
The tent floor floods, and the entrance is full of water.
When it rains, life simply stops.

The wood becomes soaked — which means no cooking.
No laundry either, because the roof leaks and everything will get wet. 2
