GitHub has been remarkably brittle lately.

I needed a quick health check for a Wordpress site so I asked AI to write it. In 100 lines it attempted to:

- Expose the PHP and WordPress version it was running on.
- Expose the theme name and plugin names and versions
- Declare for all to see whether or not we were using a redis cache and the database connection details (sans password thank god)

Vibe coders would have shipped it.

Point: even if AI gets good enough to write code for us, experience is still required to know if it’s right.

It’s a well-established fact that Democrats tend to hold more passports than Republicans.

Thus turning off Global Entry is targeting your enemies for spite, not good public policy.

I got accepted to law school.

Well I’ll be damned. The man responsible for ripping up my yard stopped and apologized.

Woke up to a drunk crashed in my front yard. Police took him into custody but not until after he tried to escape and tore up the grass and the dirt. He dug his wheels so deep the drivetrain broke - which is the only thing that prevented him from doing more damage. And when arrested he said, “I don’t care.”

I’ve had a lot in my feed about Canadian citizenship. Sadly it seems even Canada is closing the door on immigrants.

More drama from the client. Now that he’s canceled he wants me to move his site for him. Because that makes sense.

I have a hosting client who canceled and when I told him he needed to migrate his site he told me he didn’t know I was hosting it.

Kinda like missing the point?

Pick any existing successful business and copy it. Operate ethically and leave out the Nazi associations, AI slopfest, and/or maximum value extraction for PE profits.

You’ll retire wealthy. Not Bezos wealthy. But wealthy enough.
