It's nice that federal and state entities are rushing to ensure their software and services are WCAG 2.1 compliant, and demanding suppliers fill out an #accessibility conformance report is mostly reasonable. But providing said document as a non-editable PDF feels disingenuous and hypocritical, and only increases my cynicism that anyone out there really gives a fuck about this stuff.

Ten years ago, I began working for a (then) tiny startup out of San Francisco on the side to make some extra cash and expand my engineering skill set. Figured they would keep me around for a few months until they decided their products were "good enough." Instead, they wound up offering me a full-time position near the end of the year just as my primary job was imploding, and I've been here ever since. Feeling much gratitude to be where I am.

It figures that only I would find a way to slice open a finger while trying to stack boxes in a storage locker earlier this afternoon. Made quite the mess, and given that, I'm contemplating a visit to a doctor within the next few days to determine whether stitches will be required. #Thursday
