It depicts the latest assessment as worse than any single year in the dust bowl era and the concern is that the coming El Nino will only make things worse as the year progresses.

@DeniseG Ok, our forecast has been for about 1" of snow for two days, and then today the mesoscale models decided to play with the NWS forecasters and predict more than 8 inches for Omaha. It's unlikely we get that much, but the fact that a few outlying models are all picking up on heavy snow squalls (possibly with thunder) make it *possible* 😬
