@Migueldeicaza@mastodon.social The SwiftUI equivalent of “printf debugging” for unnecessary view updates is setting the background of every view to a random color. The flashing colors will show you which views are updating when you think they shouldn’t be.

The A18 Pro in the MacBook Neo is 19% faster than the M2 Ultra in the Mac Pro in single-core performance (Geekbench 6).

The MacBook Neo starts at $599.

The Mac Pro, which is still for sale, starts at $6,999.

Dianna Cowern (aka Physics Girl on YouTube, and possibly @dianna@mastodon.social) has been fighting COVID-induced ME/CFS since 2022. She just posted her first video in three years:

Does Apple still not have any official accounts on Mastodon (or Bluesky)? Are they really still using X as their primary (only?) text-based social media platform? https://www.macrumors.com/2026/02/26/apple-teases-a-big-week-ahead/

Apple folks, please take a look at FB21375029, which is a regression in macOS 26.2 and later (including the 26.3 beta) that causes .glassEffect() to stop working in floating NSWindows. It works correctly in 26.0 and 26.1. I had to make a demo video because it doesn't show up in screenshots! (Please forgive the bad audio.) Sample project: https://github.com/siracusa/GlassEffectTest
