I love nano. I used to do tech support for a Linux-based content management system (before SAaS take took off)… The customer sysadmins were sometimes whichever engineer was volun-told to do it, so competency varied wildly. I helped mostly with installs. This might be the poor newbie sysadmin’s first time on the command line. Nano was my go-to suggestion for editing config files–all the commands are right there! Much less intimidating than vi or emacs for a newbie.

Wtf is your diet if it’s a struggle? Just don’t eat garbage. And like the title says, eat enough fibers (with liquids). If you’re shitting bricks you’re doing something wrong.

IBS, medication with “surprise diarrhea” as a side effect, and occasional almost–passing-out on the toilet (overactive vasovagal reflex). It’s not a fun combination. Fiber only helps so much.

I used to self-medicate my ADHD with coffee. I could have 12 cups over the course of a work day. My new job doesn’t provide coffee, so now I just use prescription amphetamines.

I tried different prescription meds until I found one that worked for me without bad side effects. I’m honestly bad at taking my meds, but I take them when I really need to focus on something. But, my current job lets me flit from task to task, so I usually have something novel to work on and so don’t need the meds. I do still take coffee, but only about a large cup a day. Sorry that’s not more helpful.

I guess that works if you use more runny honey but my honey is so stiff that you need to use a hammer and a chisel. I friggin hate honey that is almost liquid, it needs to be more like a rock.

I’m all about creamed honey. It’s the consistency of peanut butter and has the happy crystals in it, if it’s not fresh.

Not a parent, not friends with my adult sibling: I suspect having emotionally mature adults around them would help. Also, don’t constantly side with the child with easier needs when there is a conflict between children. (Example: I wanted to not hear my brother’s music in my room. Brother wanted to play his music. Brother got his way. I got ear plugs.) Don’t make the older child always do the selfless thing because they’re “more mature”. They shouldn’t have to share everything. (Example: brother got to ‘help’ blow out the candles on my birthday cake. He spat all over it because he was a toddler.)

I absolutely hate dog poo bags. People will bag the poo the just toss it on the side of the trail. FFS you’re just adding plastic to the poo and making it worse. I would rather just have poo all over

Agreed, it’s gross seeing poo bags on the trail. I have a dog. I scoop the poop. I use bags that claim to be compostable and I put them in the bin. I don’t like carrying a full poo bag. That’s why I have a little scent proof zippered I hang from my leash. I don’t leave the bag on the side of the trail and lie that I’ll totally pick it up on my way back. At home I use these magic corn based ones that dissolve in the toilet.
