@Twisted666 Stux may have gotten it from their own head, but it's not a new thought. I've seen it in various forms for years.
Even one memorable fiction story years ago in which a person got a wish and simply wished for "enough". Whenever he wanted to buy something, he'd put his hand in his pocket and find enough money to pay for it.

@PupWrafie Even a legitimate sender's email is not enough. Wasn't all that long ago that someone managed to send out emails *from* company addresses via a third-party vulnerability.
Scammers will always find a way. It's up to the company to take all reasonable steps to alert customers.

It sounds like Signal is fairly unique in this setup. We're constantly being bombarded with verification requests, and it can be easy to forget one app works differently.

@KennyPark If I recall the Bible correctly, the part I hang up on is, you know how people keep trying to predict the Rapture?
The Bible, I think, is very clear that no one may predict when the end times will happen. Makes sense. You're supposed to just live a good life, not convert at the last moment.
So how would one believe that one can *force* it to happen when desired?
Modern-day American evangelicals just make no sense at all.

@freddy Yup! That was my point. It's become an arms race; if we find a way to nullify it, they will reprogram around the nullification. They have zero desire to allow us to block their operation.
If these Claude strings work, it's not likely to last long. It's possible they've already been coded around, which would explain the inconclusive attempts to test them.
