Oh my god absolute exposure therapy for me on this week’s episode of The Pitt. Early in my Crohn’s tenure I had a horrible experience with a tube used to inject contrast for a radiology test. I won’t go into details but I basically disassociated. Since then I’ve refused any test with tubes without sedation. Let’s just say there’s tube placement on someone awake in this episode. I made myself watch it because I’m either masochistic or am a phoenix rising from the ashes of the medical hellscape.
