With Textastic 10.9.3 on iPad, you can now press Cmd-N and then Return to quickly create a new untitled file without leaving the keyboard. Previously, you had to tap or click the Create button.

Also, deleting files in “Local Files”, “iCloud”, or external iCloud Drive folders now moves them to “Recently Deleted” in the Files app, where they can be restored if needed.

New in Textastic 10.9: Export & Import Remote Connections

You can now export (S)FTP and WebDAV connections and import them on another device. Connections are stored in a documented JSON format, with optional passphrase-based encryption for credentials.

This makes it easy to move connections between devices, keep backups, or share connection setups with others.

Textastic 10.7.5 was released yesterday with support for the new menu bar in iPadOS 26.
