Une militante pro Palestine condamnée à 15 mois de prison pour des posts sur les réseaux sociaux, à Nice.

A criminal court in Nice has sentenced pro-Palestinian activist Amira Zaiter to 15 months in prison following a case centered on her social media activity. Zaiter appeared before the court on Friday, 23 January, after spending several weeks in pretrial detention, during which she was separated from her daughter.
The prosecution targeted posts published on X and Instagram, accusing her of offenses including incitement to hatred, discrimination, and the glorification of terrorism. Prosecutors had requested a harsher sentence, including a longer prison term, registration on France’s S security file, a ban from public office, and financial penalties.
The court ordered 15 months of imprisonment with continued detention, S-file registration, a 10-year ban on holding public office, and damages to several civil parties, including LICRA and CRIF Sud-Est. Supporters note that this is Zaiter’s second conviction linked to her Palestine activism and argue that the ruling reflects an escalating judicial crackdown on pro-Palestine expression in France.
