Someone asked me (rhetorically) why I post here. Also: do I want followers?

Of course it's more fun with more people. But I don't post in a way that aims to increase follower numbers:

* I post in two languages (& boost in more).
* I generally boost too much.
* I do not focus on one topic (science, politics, food, random photos, outreach, insiders clearly for astro/research colleagues, train complains, books, museum visits, etc.)

Partner darf in BW wählen, ich nicht mehr (nur noch Bundeswahlen für mich in Deutschland und Kommunalwahlen in NL, auf Landesebene darf ich nirgends wählen...).

Auf jeden Fall: geht hin und wählt, Leute. Jede Nichtwählerstimme ist eine Stimme für die Rechten, da gibt es keine Diskussion.

Und macht bitte nicht den Blödsinn das Kreuzchen bei Parteien zu machen, die es nicht in den Landtag schaffen. Dafür wird alles zu knapp.

Ppl sometimes ask how I find the time to read books (though I find my reading volume modest).

I haven't read for the last 2 weeks: mix of travel + related work & private busy-ness, a novel I seem unable to get into, having a cold + thus brain-foginess on top of the travel. And gosh, are the brain hamsters unhappy: they run on their little squeaky wheels, making me unable to think or sleep.

Reading is medicine. Now I just need to convince myself to take it again. Always a battle to re-start.
