I’m an elderly lefty, living in South West England, watching in horror as the world descends into a potentially unimaginable abyss at the hands of a small cabal of equally elderly (mostly) white men! I grieve for my children & grandchildren who will inherit a planet I’ve been helping, albeit minutely, to destroy! When I’m not “doom scrolling” I enjoy gardening, bird watching, bread baking & being the best granddad I can be.

The Green Party's Ellie Chowns on the BBC's weekly Reform Politicians Showcase managing to squeeze her point in between interruptions and doing an excellent job of pointing out that the problems in the UK are the fault of successive governments under investing in the country while rich people lobby for changes then swan off to avoid the consequences.
