I can imagine myself, not having been forewarned thanks to @wild1145@mastodonapp.uk, seeing that all of the green baskets had been claimed, not caring about the colour, being a little contrarian, and picking one of the huge pile of red baskets that everyone seemed to be avoiding for some unknown reason.
That said, if I go to Fosse Park, it is almost never for Asda. Sainsbriz or M&S, more usually.
*That* said, I'm *now* half tempted to run an experiment to see whether it changes my Asda shopping experience in any way. I predict no effect whatsoever, except perhaps some disapproving stares and a comment by the checkout person that I was only the second person with a red basket today. (-:
