You want Big Hospital drama? We got it here in #Eugene. The suits at our big hospital, Peacehealth Sacred Heart, has decided to gut their Emergency Department, and has subcontracted the staffing of 45 Physicians to some third-party group in Atlanta. Apparently the current ER docs are bailing, and the staff held an "All-Hands" meeting this past week, and gave a 100% unanimous vote of "No Confidence" to the management there. I sometimes wish the suits would just stay out at the Country Club.

I dropped my 17YO granddaughter off at the #Eugene #Amtrak station today for her to return home. When her train rolled in, I was distressed to see such a ragged out, worn, dented, greasy, poor excuse for a train. All the cars and both engines (pusher and puller) looked like they had not been washed since 1983. Having ridden the Frecciarossa fast trains in Italy (300 Km/h) and several sparkling and fast German and French trains, I was embarrassed by the #train the U.S. of A has to offer.

DHS officers have illegally fired tear gas at civilians in two Oregon cities in the past two days. In Portland, they fired into a cornered peaceful crowd with many children. Abolish ICE is rapidly becoming the compromise position. I want prosecutions and impeachments. #oregon #portland #eugene
