Czołem! Przydałaby mi się mała #FediPomoc W FreeCAD 1.0.2 na CachyOS (KDE Plasma / KWin Wayland) program nie renderuje poprawnie. Sam interfejs powiedzmy, że jest O.K. Wszystko to odpalam na laptopie ASUS, z intelem i nvidią, do której mam zainstalowany oficjalny sterownik (na otwartym to było samo). Gdy wyłączam kartę nvidia program działa normalnie... Żeby jakoś uruchomić FreeCAD'a odpaliłem go w trybie zgodności z X11 zamiast Wayland... no i nawet to działa ale jak projekt robi się lekko zaawansowany, to często muszę odpalać manualnie. No i nie jest to wygodne w użyciu, ale nie tylko z tego powodu. Po prostu coś jest nie tak w tym trybie. Na chwilę obecną zainstalowałem AppImage i to chyba będzie działało, ale nie jestem zadowolony z tego rozwiązania, bo wyklucza aktualizacje. Jeśli ktoś z Was jest w stanie mi pomóc w tym temacie, to bardzo proszę o pomoc - no bo AppImage to ostatnie co jak mi się zdaje mogłem zrobić. #FreeCAD #Linux #Arch #CachyOS #Wayland

I'm trying to design a #3dprint rounded piece to reinforce my headphone plastic that cracked. It's harder than I'd hoped to get this right. I was planning on designing it from a circle but the curves are not lining up. Anyone have any tips for designing irregular shapes in #freecad or #tinkercad?

Wenn man für den 3D-Druck selbst konstruieren möchte und nur zwei Kriterien ansetzt: Linux und keine fremde Cloud, also Lokal nutzbar oder/und eigene Cloud, wie z.B. Nextcloud - dann bleibt eigentlich

@Matthias@lebenswert.social Warum ist das traurig? #FreeCad ist eine aktiv entwickelte Software, die für jeden Anwendungsfall etwas bietet. Ich verwende Freecad schon seit Jahren um #3DDruck Projekte zu realisieren. Die besten Erfahrungen habe ich mit der #PartDesign Workbench in FreeCad gemacht. Damit sind parametrische Konstruktionen gut umsetzbar.

Wenn man für den 3D-Druck selbst konstruieren möchte und nur zwei Kriterien ansetzt: Linux und keine fremde Cloud, also Lokal nutzbar oder/und eigene Cloud, wie z.B. Linux Desktop Ich bin immer wieder erstaunt über den mittlerweile so konsequenten switch zu Wayland. Da gibt es noch mit so vielen Programmen Probleme, sei es Fehler/Bugs oder auch generell keine Unterstützung. Und Nvidia und Wayland sowieso sehr "speziell". Aktuell grad Probleme mit Avidemux (built from source), Ausführung mit "--platform xcb" nötig, ansonsten unbenutzbar. 🤨 Bei anderen Programmen (z.B. FreeCAD) musste ich "QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb" als Umgebungsvariable verwenden. Das hindert mich auch am Umstieg von Fedora 42 auf 43 (KDE-Plasma). #Linux #Wayland #OpenGL #Avidemux #FreeCAD
