Happy Trails is the second album of the American band Quicksilver Messenger Service. Most of the album was recorded from two performances at the Fillmore East and Fillmore West, although it is not clear which parts were recorded at which Fillmore. The record was released by Capitol Records in 1969 in stereo. The first side of the album consists entirely of a live performance of Bo Diddley's song, "Who Do You Love?". In a self-deprecating poke at the rendition's extended length, it is listed as the "Who Do You Love Suite", with individually titled "movements" which give writing credits to the soloist on each segment. The performance of Bo Diddley's composition breaks down into a guitar solo by Gary Duncan in a style somewhere between jazz and rock.. - Wikipedia https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YL6Nk0FnH2g&list=RDYL6Nk0FnH2g&start_radio=1 #QuicksilverMessengerService #Psychedelia #Music #SFscene #FillMoreEast #FillmoreWest #GaryDuncan #JohnCipollina

Something Else from the Move is a five-track live EP by the English pop band the Move, released on 21 June 1968 through Regal Zonophone. The Move established themselves with a series of singles that reached the top-five in the UK singles chart, generating hype for an album. After rumours about a live LP began circulating, the Move's manager Tony Secunda pitched an idea about recording an EP of live performances at the Marquee Club in central London. Reflecting the Move's setlist on stage, Something Else from the Move is exclusively made up of covers of songs by contemporary pop bands such as Love and 1950s singers such as Eddie Cochran. The EP has an eclectic blend between rockabilly and psychedelic music. - Wikipedia https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Fl065L5lSA&list=RD2Fl065L5lSA&start_radio=1 #TheMove #TheByrds #Psychedelia #EddieCochran #Music #Beat #Mod #BritishInvasion #SpookyTooth #JerryLeeLewis

Emotions is the third album by the English rock group The Pretty Things, released in 1967. Emotions Review by Matthew Greenwald The Pretty Things were one of the most underrated rhythm & blues bands to come out of the mid-60's British rock explosion. So well-loved by Brits, they were often thought of in the same breath as The Rolling Stones. And, like a lot of great rhythm & blues based groups to come put of England, they stepped somewhat uneasily into the precarious psychedelic music explosion. However, in all fairness, The Pretty Things did come up with a pretty fine and original album, Emotions. Superbly well-orchestrated (especially the gorgeous "The Sun," one of the album's standouts), The Pretty Things didn't lose sight of their R&B leanings, as tracks such as "There Will Never Be Another Day" show. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K_lYqTA-lj0&list=RDK_lYqTA-lj0&start_radio=1 #ThePrettyThings #Mod #Beat #Psychedelia #Music #BritishInvasion #1967

Ogdens' Nut Gone Flake is the third studio album, and only concept album by the English rock band Small Faces. Released on 24 May 1968,[2] the LP peaked at number one in the UK on the Record Retailer LPs Chart, where it remained for six weeks.[3] It became the group's final studio album during their original incarnation Side one of the album showcases a variety of musical styles. The opening title track is an instrumental re-working of "I've Got Mine", a failed single from 1965. This recording uses a Hammond Organ treated with wah-wah pedal and orchestral flourishes from a string section led by David McCallum Senior (the father of The Man from U.N.C.L.E. star David McCallum.)... - Wikipedia https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5vywhWTBqU&list=PLXMFx5K46KjDO0Y_FzPunL4Cp6BdLMCXr&index=1 #SmallFaces #SteveMarriott #Mod #Psychedelia #ConceptLP #Music

The Birth is the debut studio album by American rock band Stardeath and White Dwarfs. Review by Ned Raggett Stardeath & White Dwarfs' reputation -- and public profile -- certainly isn't hurt at all by the fact that there's the family connection to the Flaming Lips' Wayne Coyne, given his nephew Dennis fronts the band..."New Heat" has something of a big and beautiful shimmer underneath the intentional production murk and echo, while the Pink Floyd-goes-funk break on "Those Who Are from the Sun Return to the Sun" is a nice touch -- but even so, it underscores that the band's own identity is yet to be truly forged in full. Still, points for ending the album on a song called "Smoking Pot Makes Me Not Want to Kill Myself." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V_GIsxvNq78&list=OLAK5uy_lWPS-2_DRjcNo4aaD_1nssA80xj1qH_V8 #StarDeathandWhiteDwarfs #FlamingLips #Music #Psychedelia

The Great Conspiracy is the second studio album by the Los Angeles psychedelic rock band, The Peanut Butter Conspiracy (PBC) on Columbia Records in December 1967. Gary Usher, who produced their debut album, The Peanut Butter Conspiracy Is Spreading, was again the producer for this album. It was the last time the group released new material with Columbia as their contractual obligations were met. Their second album is regarded as the best of the group's outputs for its solidified sound in psychedelic music. - Wikipedia https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5XcUiMm_658&list=PLzGotn8LeP0egHeuiOKNN7sI7-yMXy5eJ&index=1 #ThePeanutButterConspiracy #Psychedelia #Music #GaryUsher #PsychedelicRock

Volume One is the first album recorded by the psychedelic rock band the West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band. It was first released in 1966 on the small FiFo Records label...The album features covers of pop classics such as Richard Berry's "Louie, Louie" and the Kinks' "You Really Got Me". The songs mellow out into a blues/folk style with covers of Bob Dylan songs. Most of the material was completed before Bob Markley was included in band activities. Still, Markley's presence was evident on tracks like "Don't Break My Balloon" and "If You Want This Love", in which he contributed vocals to the songs. - Wikipedia https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gr6eLS6JAH4&list=RDgr6eLS6JAH4&start_radio=1 #WestCoastPopArtExperimentalBand #Psychedelia #Music #BobDylan #FolkRock
