The pilot will cover routes across Highland, Moray, Argyll and Bute, and Orkney, following successful launches in Shetland and the Western Isles. Single fares such as Wick to Inverness (£31) and Elgin to Inverness (£15.60) will be capped at £2. First Minister John Swinney visited Inverness Bus Station to announce the rollout, highlighting benefits for rural and low-income communities.
