The district governor of Baghdad, Kabul, told Radio Harat that a house in the Gosfandaran village collapsed last night due to the earthquake, resulting in the deaths of eight members of a family and injuring another. In the Mohammad Agha district of Logar, one house was completely destroyed, and two others were partially damaged. Javid Fazli, the press officer of the Disaster Response Directorate in Logar, told Radio Harat that no one suffered serious injuries in the incident. Fazli also stated that floods in Logar have damaged 300 homes and destroyed thousands of acres of agricultural land. Last night, an earthquake measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale shook many parts of the country, including Kabul, as well as areas in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Indian-administered Kashmir. Security sources for Radio Harat have reported that Afghan forces have conducted operations in Kuchlagh and Quetta, Balochistan, in response to airstrikes by the Pakistani military regime on Kandahar. Sources added that numerous Pakistani soldiers suffered casualties in these operations. Gazaband is the largest command post of the Pakistani regime in Balochistan. The Pakistani military regime has also conducted airstrikes in Nangarhar. Local sources report that, in addition to Paktika, the Pakistani military regime has carried out airstrikes in the Khogyani, Ghani Khail, and Besud districts of Nangarhar province. A correspondent for Radio Harat in Nangarhar reports, according to local sources, that one of the airstrikes targeted the home of a civilian named Shahabuddin in the Besud district. As of now, there is no confirmed information regarding casualties from these attacks. Local sources report that the Pakistani military regime has conducted an airstrike in the Bermal district of Paktika province. Sources told Radio Harat that the strike occurred tonight in the Margha Banadori village, affiliated with the Bermal district. No information regarding casualties has been released so far as a result of the strike. The Ghazni Police Command has stated that the traffic incident occurred today, Wednesday, on the Kabul-Kandahar highway near the Maqur district, in the Bazak area. A Radio Harat correspondent reports that the incident involved a collision between a truck and 330 vehicles, resulting in three fatalities. According to initial reports, the accident was caused by reckless driving, and an unconfirmed number of people were injured. The Prime Minister of Afghanistan, Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, in a message sent to the inauguration ceremony of the Kabul-Bagram highway construction, stated that this road is a major and important project that should have been built much earlier, but now is still an appropriate time and its implementation demonstrates the commitment of the Islamic Emirate. A Radio Harat reporter reports that the message emphasized that the Islamic Emirate is carrying out reconstruction and foundational works throughout the country according to a systematic plan and a set schedule, in order to address the people's problems and accelerate the country's development process. The head of the Kunar mines and petroleum department told Radio Harat that mineral resources worth approximately 1.09 billion Afghanis have been sold in the province over the past year. Mullah Mohammad Sherin says that 153 mineral deposits, with a total weight of 12,704 kilograms, were sold through Bolivia via 14 tenders. According to him, 10 percent of the profits, amounting to 110 million Afghanis, have been collected for the state treasury. The Balkh Public Health Department destroyed approximately 100 tons of expired medications and food items collected by monitoring teams throughout the current solar year. These items were gathered from various pharmacies, wholesalers, shops, and supermarkets in the city and districts.
