🇹🇷🚍 MAN Truck & Bus has begun series production of its fully electric Lion’s City E buses at its plant in #Ankara, marking a further step in its shift to zero-emission #transport. The #Turkish site becomes the company’s third e-bus production hub, alongside plants in Poland and South Africa. The move supports growing demand for electric buses and strengthens MAN’s global production network. The Ankara facility has been upgraded in recent years to support electric mobility, with plans to also build electric intercity and coach models. Since launch, around 3,300 Lion’s City E #buses have been delivered across Europe, covering 250 million kilometres and cutting an estimated 150,000 tonnes of CO2 compared with diesel vehicles. L'Unità: Strage nell’Egeo, 18 migranti morti in un naufragio davanti le coste turche: tentavano di entrare in Europa dalla rotta balcanica In mare si continua a morire non solo nella rotta del Mediterraneo, quella che dalle coste del Nord Africa porta verso l’Italia o Malta. Sono 18 i morti recuperati dalla Guardia costiera turca dopo l’affondamento di un gommone a largo di Bodrum, che si trova nel sud-ovest della Turchia e si affaccia sul mar Egeo, l’altra pericolosissima traversata e porta d’accesso all’Unione Europea tramite la Grecia per proseguire tramite la “rotta balcanica“. Altre 21 persone sono sopravvissute al naufragio e sono state soccorse, con le operazioni di ricerca ancora in corso con l’impiego di tre navi e un elicottero. La Guardia costiera turca non ha specificato il punto di partenza e la destinazione della barca, ma la zona è una rotta molto usata dalle persone che provano a entrare in Europa partendo dalla Turchia. Il Tempo: L'Iran attacca nuovamente: altro missile intercettato sopra la Turchia. Nato in allarme Le difese della Nato hanno distrutto sopra la Turchia un missile balistico lanciato dall'Iran nell'est del Mar Mediterraneo. Lo rende noto il ministero della Difesa turco. Alcuni frammenti del missile iraniano sono caduti nella provincia di Gaziantep nel sud-est del paese senza causare feriti. "Un missile balistico lanciato dall'Iran e penetrato nello spazio aereo turco è stato neutralizzato dagli elementi di difesa aerea e antimissile della Nato dispiegati nel Mediterraneo orientale", si legge nel comunicato della Difesa turca. L'episodio ha spinto le forze della gendarmeria a isolare la zona e ad avviare un'indagine. Si tratta del secondo incidente di questo tipo sul territorio turco dall'inizio della guerra tra Stati Uniti e Israele contro l'Iran. I media locali di Gaziantep hanno riferito che il ritrovamento dei detriti ha attirato rapidamente l'attenzione pubblica, diffondendosi sui social media. Le forze di sicurezza sono state immediatamente inviate sul posto e sono state rafforzate le misure di sicurezza nell'area. Intanto il Dipartimento di Stato americano ha deciso di sospendere i servizi del Consolato di Adana, nel sud della Turchia, e ha ordinato al personale governativo statunitense non essenziale e ai familiari dei dipendenti di lasciare il Paese a causa di rischi per la sicurezza. The message appearing on the diplomatic representation’s website in Turkey strongly encourages all Americans present in southeast Turkey to leave the area immediately.
