Nato in allarme Le difese della Nato hanno distrutto sopra la Turchia un missile balistico lanciato dall'Iran nell'est del Mar Mediterraneo. Lo rende noto il ministero della Difesa turco. Alcuni frammenti del missile iraniano sono caduti nella provincia di Gaziantep nel sud-est del paese senza causare feriti. "Un missile balistico lanciato dall'Iran e penetrato nello spazio aereo turco è stato neutralizzato dagli elementi di difesa aerea e antimissile della Nato dispiegati nel Mediterraneo orientale", si legge nel comunicato della Difesa turca. L'episodio ha spinto le forze della gendarmeria a isolare la zona e ad avviare un'indagine. Si tratta del secondo incidente di questo tipo sul territorio turco dall'inizio della guerra tra Stati Uniti e Israele contro l'Iran. I media locali di Gaziantep hanno riferito che il ritrovamento dei detriti ha attirato rapidamente l'attenzione pubblica, diffondendosi sui social media. Le forze di sicurezza sono state immediatamente inviate sul posto e sono state rafforzate le misure di sicurezza nell'area.
