Agi: Epstein: dai file spunta una foto con Andrea e Mandelson AGI - In una fotografia appaiono assieme, per la prima volta, l'ex principe Andrea, l'ex ambasciatore britannico Lord Peter Mandelson, e Jeffrey Epstein, il finanziere pedofilo morto in carcere a New York nel 2019. In un'altra, l'ex ambasciatore sorride parlando, in accappatoio, con Epstein. Secondo quanto riporta Itv News, le immagini sarebbero state scattate intorno al '99-2000, prima della condanna di Epstein per pedofilia, avvenuta in Florida nel 2008. In accappatoio La foto mostra Andrea e Mandelson indossare accappatoi mentre sono seduti accanto a Epstein attorno un tavolo di legno su un terrazzo all'aperto. I tre sono ritratti mentre bevono da tazze con, sopra, la bandiera degli Stati Uniti. Secondo i media, la foto sarebbe stata scattata a Martha's Vineyard, l'isola davanti al Massachusetts, e fa parte dei file del caso Epstein rilasciati a fine gennaio. L'immagine ha richiamato quella inclusa nel cosiddetto "birthday book", il libro di auguri per i cinquant'anni di Epstein, in cui Mandelson appariva in accappatoio. L'ex ambasciatore aveva definito il finanziere il suo "migliore amico". Nel 2009, dopo che Epstein era stato già condannato, Mandelson aveva continuato a frequentarlo e ad andare a casa sua a New York. La nuova immagine è destinata ad alimentare l'attenzione attorno a uno scandalo passato in secondo piano dopo l'attacco lanciato da Stati Uniti e Israele all'Iran.
