I condemn the Spanish officials for their positions.” The Madrid government had stated that it would not grant the United States the use of its territory to strike Iran. Just a few minutes later, however, news arrives from Washington that dismantles this picture. “Spain has agreed to collaborate with the U.S. armed forces in relation to the war in Iran,” White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt said in a press briefing. Il Tempo: Anche l'ex presidente Ahmadinejad ucciso nei bombardamenti di Usa e Israele L'agenzia di stampa iraniana ILNA (Agenzia per le notizie dei lavoratori iraniani) ha annunciato l'uccisione dell'ex presidente della Repubblica Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in un attacco aereo congiunto israeliano-americano avvenuto nel quartiere di Narmak, a est di Teheran. Secondo ILNA, Ahmadinejad - che ha servito come presidente durante i mandati nono e decimo (2005-2013) - "è stato martirizzato a seguito dell'aggressione del regime sionista e degli Stati Uniti contro il Paese". Le informazioni preliminari indicano che l'attacco ha colpito specificamente la zona residenziale di Narmak, inclusa l'abitazione dell'ex presidente, causando la sua morte insieme a quella di diversi accompagnatori e collaboratori. According to ILNA, Ahmadinejad – who served as president during the ninth and tenth terms (2005-2013) – “was martyred following the aggression of the Zionist regime and the United States against the country.” Preliminary information indicates that the attack specifically targeted the residential area of Narmak, including the former president’s home, causing his death along with that of several companions and collaborators. Ahmadinejad, a member of the Majma’a Tashkhis Maslahat-e Nezam (Assembly for Discernment of the System’s Interest), had previously held key positions: governor of the province of Ardabil, mayor of Tehran (2003-2005) and a prominent figure in the hardline conservative line. In recent years, he had often criticized certain policies of the Raisi government and the current leadership, while remaining within the system.
