I once found a loose white sapphire stuck in between concrete cracks at a gas station. I parked weird and had to step over the gas fill hose to grab the windshield squeegie, and the light from overhead caught the right angle on a shiny rick. It’s only 2/3 karat, probably the side stone of someone’s fancy ring.
