And it gets much worse. ICE is now using OpenAI's technology to screen job applicants for its deportation operations. Yes, the other companies have their issues too. But OpenAI is in a league of its own – both in how badly they behave and how exposed they are. ChatGPT's users are relatively young and most of them are unaware of any of this. Most would never knowingly fund Trump's biggest tech donor, or a company that helps ICE, or a product that tells children how to end their lives. They just don't know yet.
