See this is the stuff I'm talking about with Carney.
He'll propose to drop a fuel tax seemingly to help affordability so car drivers can save like $25/ mo on gas but it means less govern revenue for social programs or actually sustainable transportation options. Companies never reduce prices when their transportation costs go down, they just pocket the money and his oil and gas buddies will continue to enjoy record profits and record wealth.
It's bullshit.

@EdwinG can someone explain to me how they afford this? It seems like specific circumstances...
It seems only possible with general wealth passing down a huge down payment? ( ie your parents downsized a home with lots of equity and gave you your $300k down payment)
Or if you were able to buy relatively cheaply in the early 2000s somewhere that later increased hugely and gave you enormous profit when you sold?
And obviously you have a partner and are sharing the mortgage?
