AnnieBuddy

@AnnieBuddy@thecanadian.social
mastodon 4.5.9

My bio, copied from my original instance from November, 2022. Nothing has changed, really.

No one special. Transplanted “citiot” living in the country. Looking for peace. Never lost my idealistic inner child, hope for humanity

Interested in pretty much everything to some degree, but love animals, nature, geology, photography, travel, art, music, and medical research. I’m curious, so I ask a lot of questions.

Nothing better than fresh Spring smells. A free run on a beautiful day, listening to some tunes

She is a spooky little girl.

The only satisfaction I get from billionaires is knowing they live in fear most of the time. They are so afraid, in fact, they have armed security and food tasters.

Most of us don’t have to worry to that extent.

How can they be so good at building data centres but so bad at building affordable housing?

@bruce @nickyttrpg I lived on a billionaire island in the Caribbean. Potholes on the roads that would swallow a car, but marble driveways (I kid you not) once inside the gates to their estates

I fried my air fryer. Accidentally turned on the element when it was sitting on the stove. I didn't realize that it was entirely made of plastic. Black plastic. Smelled really good melting, and then it melted all over the stove when I grabbed it to move it.

I can't imagine that cooking stuff in plastic that melts like that can be good for you.

@manlycoffee They would rather let corporations profit off our data than protect us by regulating them. They will still know you have children. They will still know your children's ages. They will still know your children's preferences for everything you buy them. When your kids age out, they will still have no privacy. They will have no skills for dealing with or interacting with others. But the tech giants will be rich.

@avilewis Price fixing based on questionable data. They already do it based on postal codes but this is just unconscionable. What if they decide to arbitrarily exclude a demographic based on race, gender or religion from being able to buy certain products? There’s no justification for this. There’s no way it will favour anyone but the already wealthy.

@heidilifeldman So, it is likely that her step son reported her. Who are the people reporting people to ICE? Zampoli is obviously not the only one using the system against other human beings. They should have a spotlight on them so everyone knows exactly who and what they are.

@EricLawton More and more it appears we elected a conservative government that is more interested in plundering what we have in this country than actually fixing the problems of the past and creating a better future for us all. Mark Carney is more and more disappointing every day.

If the war in the Middle East was an attempt to distract from #Epstein I don’t think it is working.

Thank you to my new instance host for accepting me here as I fled my previous home. I discovered some disturbing allegations and I jumped ship. I may not have done the transfer right because I think I brought most of my followers, but lost the people I followed. I will try to get caught up over the next few days!
