If you want to do running and jogging and speed hiking and you're blind or with low vision, you can adapt your running style. You can't do sighted people running. That's why those walking/running blind initiatives all want to tether you to a sighted runner. Because otherwise their sighted running style isn't safe for you. But you can run untethered and with a cane if you adapt your style to more "namba walking/running". Don't fly, don't land. You won't reach 10 km/h, and you'll run at a pace that's often just above fast walking speed. But namba removes the transition between walking and running and because of the speed you can run with a long cane. For directions I use VoiceVista and gpx routes that I prepare with sighted assistance and also scout with sighted assistance. So that I can slow jog untethered and find my own way, and can choose company or do without.
I got the feedback that my running "looks blind". Yah. That's because I'm blind. My running is blind running, yours is sighted running. I don't like the tethered buddy system and want to do without. I did tethered running once and my guide made me uneasy.
I just don't understand how you would want to do running without your own means of keeping you safe on the street.

The power imbalance of the "Sighted gaze on blind people" was such an issue with both my current therapists that I had to address it in order to progress with therapy. In the arts I see Sophie Calle as the artist who exploited blind people most on account of the "Sighted gaze"

Wat zijn de kwatrijnen van Jacob Israel de Haan toch prachtig. Toen ik braille ging leren was mijn doel om tenminste zijn kwatrijnen te kunnen lezen. Vier regels per gedicht moest toch gaan, was mijn gedachte. Een bescheiden doel.

Waaraan je goed kunt zien dat Israel altijd een antisemitische staat is geweest: hoe Teimani joden zijn behandeld tot in de jaren 80 van de vorige eeuw. In kampen gezet, gedwongen gesteriliseerd, hun kinderen geroofd en aan Ashekenazi gezinnen gegeven ter adoptie. Zionisme bergt antisemitisme in zich en dat antisemitisme is in Israel altijd geprojecteerd geweest op Arabische joden. In de jaren 50 verdwenen jemenitische kinderen uit de ziekenhuizen waar ze waren geboren. Aan de ouders werd verteld dat hun kind was overleden.

Nou ik heb mail van de Bloesemtocht. Ik mag niet lopen, want ze hebben geen gpx voor me. Niemand die die tocht heeft uitgezet heeft ook ergens een gpx file he. Dus.
