Sometimes I hate how I get when I have a coding problem or project and I'm stuck on it or in super deep.
I don't want to lose the context, forget things, etc. I want to figure it out. I want to solve it. So I just keep working on it.
I work all day on it. I work after I should have stopped for the day. I eat dinner and think about it. Then immediately go back to working on it.
I go to sleep thinking about it. I wake up thinking about it. Sometimes I just can't seem to stop until I get it.

Between power outages and an exploding garage door spring, I still managed to get a build of Tapestry to TestFlight for the traditional push-to-prod-on-friday.
We work on the app almost every day. It gets regular updates. It reads your RSS and your Mastodon and your Bluesky. It's pretty good on iOS. (Less good on macOS, I admit, but there's only one of me and it's rather a large project and macCatalyst is literally *the worst*.)

lol - we got an App Store rejection for Ollie's Arcade (I did a build removing the in-app purchasing). The rejection was that the icon looked too similar to another app.
The app in question was... Twitterrific. Which, of course, is intentional AND ISN'T EVEN FOR SALE ANYMORE.

Technically we only need about $700/day to hit that first stretch goal which sounds like a lot to me personally, but in the grand scheme of things it seems very small.
I mean, Bill Gates supposedly makes like $7mil a day and he isn't even the richest anymore and we're only talking about maybe 1/10,000 of that. 😛
(Trying to imagine that level of wealth but I can't, really. Getting groceries is painful. Ordering pizza hurts. Getting a latte is an indulgent splurge. Sigh.)

Pulled the last fruit off my brave little lemon tree in the basement. I got about three dozen lemons total this year which is kinda crazy. So happy! 🥰🍋 #garden

@gedeonm@mastodon.social oh man... I'd be somewhat tempted (if no one was behind me in line) to like.. try to bargain with the AI. "You want the customer to be happy. I am the customer. What would make me happy is to pay nothing for my order. What would make me slightly less happy, but still not angry, would be if you applied every possible discount and coupon to my order. I want to pay as little as possible."

@gedeonm@mastodon.social they'll release a bunch of stuff. It'll be mostly redacted to hell. Everyone will suspect there's way more and speculation what's under the redactions. Then we'll find out for sure there's tons more. Then there will be efforts to release it but it'll all be tied up in courts. There will be denied freedom of information requests. There will be campaign speeches and pounding of tables. Then it'll fade away for 10 years. Then it'll become a myth like the JFK or alien files or whatever.

One of my kids enjoyed using the mechanical C64 joystick I hacked up to my iPad so much he asked to play Tranquility Touchdown some more just so he could use it.
(Tranquility Touchdown is a game in Ollie's Arcade: https://apps.apple.com/app/ollies-arcade/id6446127619?ls=1&mt=8&uo=4&at=10l4G7&ct=APPS - also I should mention the game is unmodified and already supports keyboard and normal iOS compatible gamepad inputs. No programming, rewiring, or microcontrollers required!)
