My electric teakettle has 0.5L marked on it as minimum and 1.7L as maximum. That makes sense. It also has 1.2L marked on it. What is special about 1.2L?

@olsonseank I can understand why `struct S` is an error. My question is more about why `fn f()` doesn't cause a warning, since most uses of it will. Even the following:
fn f() {}
fn g() { f(); }
produces a compiler warning saying that `T` can't be inferred, but no warning about the useless `T` parameter. It's occasionally taken me a minute to realize that the correct solution is to remove `T`, not to provide a type for it.

In #Rust, `struct S<T>` yields a compiler error, but `fn f<T>() {}` does not even yield a warning. Why not?

@KitL For a year or so I subscribed to a service that mailed me snacks from a different country every month. It got monotonous because it turns out that the snacks you can mail internationally are pretty limited. Once I showed them to someone from that month's country and they said, "Yeah those are our snacks, if you shop for them in a gas station." I think that gas station groceries are a little like that.
