#EroticMusings 40: Where/how do you promote your erotica? Is it effective? How do you evaluate that?
I am an erotic fic writer, so I share them on Archive of Our Own. Just finished a 3-chapter (ongoing) smut omegverse heat scene between Hollander and Rozanov (Heated Rivalry), and now the story begins. It's doing well.
My books (some ghostwritten) are all categorized as 'steamy' or erotic romance and are on Webnovels or Amazon.
Effectiveness depends on the reactions in the fic comments, and I look at the bookmarks people mark to see how many want to re-read the stories, as well as subscriptions, comments, etc. This is why I enjoy fanfic - the direct connection with the readers. It's so hard to leave the fic world when I can get that feedback.

Yes - it makes me a bit slower, but I do edit as I go. I am not good at sprinting with others...I can't word vomit very well, ohoho. And I envy people who can do that, because going back and editing that seems to work well for them. They produce a lot more than I do.

I'm a new writer just finding my way. I've been writing since 2018 - fic and some romance ghostwriting, some visual novel games, and a couple of webnovels...
I'd like to self-publish some novels if I can just pull myself away from fanfic for long enough. Time is always an issue as well.
