The website issue isn’t a passkey issue, it’s a shit website issue. The difference is basically non-existent perceptually, but there’s also no way other than consumer pressure to make websites fix that. Apple/Google/MS can’t do that.

I’m a writer, but don’t expect deep, personal shit. @flargh@mastodon.social the wild thing is, the more you learn, the easier it gets. Learning the bit of .NET/C# I know in my 50s was waaaaaay easier than trying to grok BASIC in my teens.
Because I have this base of knowledge of other things I can relate it to. I can analogize the new thing to a thing I already know, so less of it is truly “new”.
The ones who hide from it make it harder on themselves.
