@Kraemer_HB @chrisstoecker Der Punkt ist auch deshalb interessant, weil sie lamentieren, man hätte in den letzten Jahrzehnten total vernachlässigt, klare Grenzen zwischen Kulturen zu ziehen. Doch in einem früheren Punkt haben sie fast schon beleidigt festgestellt, dass die letzten Jahrzehnte frei von Weltkriegen war.

@mauro I only know one early album from BoC (looked it up: it's Geogaddi) and I think that sound has a unique place in my mind because of the time I stumbled upon it. I was at uni and had all those new impressions that go with uni life (dorms etc) and that sound was just carried across the hallway from somebody's room...
I haven't listened to any new BoC stuff though.

@mauro I remember a music video... must have been up to 10 years ago and I don't know whether it was from Mono or a similar band. It was animated and it was about some kind of dragon in the air that was attacked by a flying pirate ship full of small critters or gnomes...

@pascaline @metin I've skimmed the article and it seems like they are brute-force searching for installed Chrome extensions. I can imagine that this is useful information for them, even if you're not logged in (there might be other browser fingerprinting techniques going on to identify you) but it's most useful to check if they know your actual name.

@NABU Es gibt nicht einen Tag, der vergeht, ohne eine Meldung wie "Biber jetzt leichter töten", "Wölfe jetzt leichter abschießen", Giftmüll leicher verklappen, Feinstaub besser einatmen, Erdgas mehr verbrennen. Es ist traurig hierzulande.

@mauro It could be a mastodon.social thing because I tried it on other hosts (mstdn.social for example) and they were still linking to the cdn urls. Maybe masto.host will keep these files around for a bit and remove them in the future...

@mauro Now that we have migrated, I think the media URLs have been updated in some way. I've just checked a random post of mine that had an image via another instance. And the image shows up with a URL that no longer points to the mastohost CDN... pretty cool.

@mauro that sounds cool except for the loss of all media. Why would that happen? Isn’t there a way to migrate this from one server to the next? Even if there are hardcoded URLs to mograph.social they should remain accessible?
