I collect #art from time to time. I was fascinated by the story of badass Blanche Wille, a #Chicago #communist social worker who assisted victims of the McCarthy era, and taught herself to compassionately paint the world she knew. The piece headlined in this 2012 article about her appeared at auction recently, and now has a new home. The painting is from the 1950s.

#Minnesota cop intervened with #ICE, gets citizen observer released after they illegally and unconstitutionally arrest her, search car, and rough her up. Her husband told MPR News that after his wife was taken into custody, he called his attorney, and soon after, he got a call from St. Peter Chief of Police Matt Grochow, whom he said he has known for years.
