yesterday I went up my beloved maunga. it was at sunset and the western valley to the Waitakeres was misty with evaporation under a beautiful clear autumn sky. the temperature was perfect, the view 24 carat, and a happy crowd was performing the selfie ritual. and there was music! an accordion player serenaded the city from atop our mountain. it was breathtaking. I chatted with him which was nice.
musicians know more than music. they know the beauty of the world and how to communicate it.
