@nicd@masto.ahlcode.fi I've brushed snow off my array as needed over the years. Panels are extremely robust and brushing them doesn't hurt them. Since the panel starts to heat up after some of it gets sun exposure it might be sufficient to just brush the lower edge of the 8° array. It guess it would also be possible to mount a warming strip on the backside of the panels.

During Q&A one of our class asked him about that section of writing and the lecturer said it was about symbolic provisions for the afterlife, specifically thousands of beers and thousands of sandwiches. We didn't underestimate our Art History prof again. :-o

@ratcatcher@beige.party Probably a reference to the hardware being selected for usefulness as a remote repeater (on your roof, in a tree, on a mountain, etc). Features might be a weatherproof case, chip that sips power, no GPS, bigger battery, solar panel for charging, etc. It's conceivable that they might also pre-flash MT onto the hardware and set it up MT in repeater node although that might be less helpful than it sounds.
