A few caveats re the above:
1) This is a discussion between three people who have been steeped in Big Navy for their entire careers. The jargon comes thick and fast.
2) Minesweeping in the modern U.S. Navy has been handed off to the woeful Littoral Combat Ships, which means both these practitioners are tied into the LCS program pretty deeply. They are a smidge butthurt about how the world doesn't respect it.
3) If you are looking for a podcast about how the U.S. Navy is a terrible institution, a conversation between a defense industry trade journalist and two retired senior officers is not gonna be that

I didn't realize until Sal Mercogliano mentioned it on his most recent YouTube update that these days Chris Cavas has a podcast. Cavas has been a leading journalist covering the U.S. Navy and naval matters worldwide for decades. It looks like he's been podcasting for a few years, but the current chaos in the Persian Gulf has made informed naval perspectives of interest to many more people than they would probably otherwise be. (Which is why I mention it.)
In the most recent episode he interviews two retired senior Navy officers who had specialized in minesweeping, which is extra on point.

Diabetics need to be aware that certain lots of Abbott's FreeStyle Libre 3 and Libre 3 Plus continuous glucose monitors have been found to give incorrectly low readings. At least 7 deaths and 860 injuries have been tied to the devices thus far.
If you use one of these devices, Abbott will replace it with a fixed one for free. But you have to apply to get a replacement.

“More than two dozen states are refusing to sign the Department of Justice’s new settlement with Live Nation, which owns Ticketmaster, in a high-profile antitrust lawsuit challenging the entertainment giant’s ticketing sales.
The bipartisan coalition of states said the settlement between the DOJ and Live Nation does not fully address concerns of monopolization in the entertainment sphere and it vowed to keep pursing the company in court.”

Snap cases may seem cheap (and they were), but they were in service of the vision of a guy at Warner Home Video named Warren Lieberfarb, who unlike most in the entertainment industry wanted DVDs to be a thing people bought outright, rather than rented.
Warner's DVDs came with few extras and in cheap packaging, but you could buy one for less than a movie from any other studio.
Lieberfarb's idea turned out to be correct, and he became known as the "father of the DVD."

"Rep. Kevin Kiley of California said Monday he was immediately leaving the Republican Party to become an independent.
The move complicates House Speaker Mike Johnson's narrow majority, though Kiley said he plans to caucus with the Republican Party 'for the remainder of this term.'
