I visited the tomb of the eagles at the turn of the century - was January & I'm pretty sure I was the only tourist on Orkney at the time. Got to have loads of these sites to myself.
I arrived at the seemingly random farmhouse with the tomb of the eagles and a chap came out to see me. I now realise that was Ronald Simison himself!!! he took me into his conservatory and showed a load of find. Then he said walk to a long the cliff until the wind drops - and there you are

I've always had a weird dysphoria about my male body hair - for a long time preferring a beard to having to shave
but starting HRT prompted me to get rid of it & now, until I have the time/money for laser, I need to shave my face
the safety razor is turning out to be quite good - now the "learning wounds" have mostly healed!!
(Although shaved my legs with it - took 20 minutes to stop bleeding :-( )
pleased the HRT has, faster than expected, sorted out most of my body hair

the percussion is a recording I made of a couple of plates - the ceramic sound was promoted by the dream too - and then is a max patch with a couple of turing machines and euclidean rhythms- mining my old patches I discover I have two separate euclidean mechanisms - one pure max , the other in javascript!! The turing machines keep the playhead visiting the same places in the sample
the rest is three u-he zebra patches - made for this track and played by hand)

ok - quantiser is fully working! and I seem to be able to work again - bit of a mini burnout there I think - ugh
NEED to get this bloody app out! but the end is in sight now
modulate-able quantiser with custom scales IS as fun as I hoped. If you drive the notes really fast you can get some chip-tuney nonsense going on too! (when I come to a final tweak of control ranges might lean into that a bit more)

the whole "ai" race to IPO is very telling - take the money and run before people work out it's nowhere near as valuable as claimed (not saying it has no value - I think it will turn out to have but honestly - where are these companies or even people leaving me behind 'cos I'm not on the bandwagon - for a lot of people that like shouting at us all for not taking part they are suddenly very quiet about their amazing success.....)

The only thing I've had with my young people recently was my daughter using the word 'lore' in regards to peoples backgrounds (as opposed to game lore which I know)

When I still drank the odd young person got "lectures" about this - including one poor young punk (With an ace mohawk) in a bar in Glasgow that got an extended rant about why him liking the pixies and other bands I had been into when they were new wasn't good enough ;-) poor chap

The more I think about it it's quite a deep subject though - systems music totally embraced it, and philosophy has a field day (Deleuze, Derrida) - I kind of want to throw Samuel Beckett in there
